What is Secret RF?
Like we mentioned, Secret RF is a micro-needling treatment, which means that it is used to help reduce the signs of aging like fine lines and wrinkles. However, it can also help people with scars, skin discoloration, texture problems, and stretch marks.
Secret RF uses microneedles to transmit fraction Radio Frequency (RF) energy into different levels of the skin for tissue coagulation and hemostasis. What makes Secret RF unique is that the treatment targets areas under the surface of the skin, unlike many similar treatments.
By targeting areas below the surface of the skin, Secret RF is affecting the part of the skin that is most beneficial to revitalize and regenerate skin tissue. In fact, the treatment stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps make skin look younger and fresh. Because of this, Secret RF is one of the most effective skin treatments for the previously mentioned skin conditions without the inconvenience of downtime.
While some laser treatments can’t be used on all skin types, Secret RF is safe for people of all ethnicities and skin types. There are also minimal side effects associated with this treatment. A few of the most common side effects include:

- Temporary patterning of treated skin
- Rarely skin color changes
- Infection
Secret RF Procedure
The best part of the Secret RF procedure for most of our clients is that it is so easy! Since it is a non-surgical procedure, we can perform it in our office using only numbing cream to minimize discomfort. For those with anxiety during these types of procedures, we can also offer other pain-reduction options. Most clients, however, state that they only experience heat and pressure on the treated area. What is truly amazing about Secret RF is how customizable it is! The RF energy used in the treatments can be controlled so much that it can be placed in the right depth of the skin to ensure the best possible results. In fact, the needles can penetrate in a range from 0.5 to 3.5 mm into the skin. The needle types are also varied with Secret RF. The process uses a unique combination of both non-insulated and semi-insulated needles to allow providers to treat a wide variety of different skin conditions without causing disruption to the skin surface, therefore minimizing downtime.
To see the desired results, most patients need to come in for three to four treatments. Results usually are seen after four to six weeks, and multiple treatments are scheduled four weeks apart. These treatments can help dramatically reduce the look of wrinkles, stretch marks, fine lines, and scars.
