Hormone pellets are used to treat hormone imbalances. The pellets are implanted subcutaneous, or just below the skin surface, to help balance out hormone levels in the body. The implantation process may be slightly uncomfortable, but it isn’t painful.
Women will tend to need pellet re-insertion every three to four months, while men will need re-insertion every six to seven months.
